Open House Collection by Spellbinders
Hello crafty friends! I am back with a card created with a fabulous new collection from the July Release of Spellbinders. This time, I am featuring the the Open House Sentiment Steps Etched Dies from Open House Collection. However, I am also showing the new Friendly Snowmen clear stamp set from the Be Merry Collection.
For this card I used the Open House Sentiment Steps Etched Dies from the Open House Collection by Spellbinders. This is a set of 10 thin metal dies that complement the Open House Door Base and the Always Welcome Large Die of the Month 2020 with its steps and rails leading up to the door. However, I don’t have any of these dies and you can see how beautiful this looks by himself.
On this card, I used traditional Christmas colors. And like the Open House Sentiments Step Etched Dies includes many options for sentiments, I opted for the two of them: Merry and Christmas.
The Christmas look was not complete without a fun image. And this from the Friendly Snowmen Clear Stamp Set from the Be Merry Collection are really adorable.
I just stamped three snowmen onto white smooth card stock and colored them with Illustrator Markers from Spectrum Noir. The colors of Markers that I used were: DR1, DR4, DR5, AG2, AG3, AG4, AG5, RB2, TN7, GB1, GY1, GY2, CT4, TB4, TB6, TB8, IG1, GG2, and BGR1.
CARD DETAILS:
The card base of my card is real red card stock. The second layer is light blue. However, I decided to ink the borders of the second layer with distress ink and then splattered with Sparkle Silk on the upper part. Then, I pasted the stairs with liquid glue and added to the decorated card base with 3D foam squares. Also, I paste the snowmen with crafty foam and as final touch, I added a tiny gold stars around the scene.
These stars came from the O Christmas Tree Etched Dies that is part of the Trim the Tree Collection. Do you remember one of the collections that I show you a few days ago? You can see my post HERE.
