SO SUZY STAMPS IS IN STAMPARTPAPEL

To introduce the new Design Team, So Suzy Stamps has invited us designers to participate in a Challenge, where each of us had the opportunity to choose a stamp set to work with that will be launched in December. As you can tell, I am a huge fan of flowers, flores, and Florez, and I could not stay away from this beautiful image called Peony combined with the text from the stamp set  Be. For starters, the text reflects exactly what I’ve always insisted, “Be what you want to be”,  and the flower gave me the possibility to apply two techniques that I’m a huge fan of.

In order for these flowers to have this effect and these shades, I initially used the technique of masking with distress, which is why the borders show the beginning of the color with a light wear. It also maintains a white space, the base being white, between each flower since the image of Peony is one flower. The second technique I used was the blending of inks in one stamp, which a lot of you have seen me use and I have my own video tutorial on El Atelier de Stampartpapel. To give the flowers a distinct color effect, I used three different classic ink pads, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry. The message on stamp set Be was stamped in the Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, which is an intense shade of black, and I love it because it matches great with the shade of black I used for the base of my card.

Let’s talk about the So Suzy Challenge!

This is my proposal as a So Suzy Designer, but now you can all become part of the grand creative family of So Suzy Stamps by participating in this Monthly Challenge. This lasts one month and everyone can participate. I know you love inspiration, so visit the So Suzy Blog and I guarantee you’ll be amazed by the variety and different styles you’ll find. If you stop by the So Suzy Shop along the way, it will be even more difficult to resist the So Suzy charm… I know why I’m telling you.
