Sunflower and Ladybugs from Spellbinders
Hello crafty friends, it’s the turn for the Sunflower and Ladybugs Etched Dies from Spellbinders. This set of dies are also part of the Susan’s Garden Favorites Collection and of course I am fascinated with all the flowers included on the collection.
I decided to make Sunflowers in different colors and this time I went for the Lilac. I die cut two of the three layers in the same color and the third on a darker color. According with the instructions, you can create each flower with three layers, but al depends of you. The most important thing is that you try to give texture to the petals and it will add dimension to the flower.
I colored the center of the flowers with pastels and pasted all the center pieces and layers with liquid adhesive. For me it is wonderful because dries clear and you can paste all the tiny pieces that made the center of the sunflower really gorgeous.
For the base of the card, I used the A2 Filigree Marquis Etched Dies. On this opportunity, I just cut the large piece of the dies to have my flowers on the center. For the sentiment, I used one included on the Birthday Bouquet Stamp Set.
