Hi there! Today I am up with a new project that I made using the gorgeous Fairies from the The Veil of the Fairies Collection. These fairies are made with Rita Barakat original mixed media art and I just created a Watercolor Background for this.

The base of this card is Basic Black cardstock and I used a layer of watercolor paper to create the background. I just sprayed my mat with four different colors of Fireworks: Cantoloupe, Bahama Blue, Grape Jelly and Lilac Posies and placed the watercolor layer on top of the inks to make the paper absorb the color ink.Watercolor Background with Rita Barakat

I used the grid side of my mat and some of the lines where part of the design making it more attractive. When the paper was totally dry I resized it and pasted it over the black card base. You can notice on the bellow photo how the background has a shimmer look and how the colors blended together.

To finalize the card I cut the wood grain frame die cut from whisper white card stock and pasted it over the decorated card base using double sided foam tape. I pasted the one of the five fairies from the The Veil of the Fairies Collection, over the card and added a sticker sentiment and little sequins.

Remember that these five fairies images available in Rita Barakat Etsy Store. I have been using them in multiples projects and they works excellent with different techniques.
